Strangely quiet from the Transatlantic Terra and his sycophants 🤔 "Terra"? "sycophants"? That's a bit harsh Rob.

Not harsh at all Brian That's how you come across to the rest of us I'm afraid 🙄 I don't want to get into a debate with a supporter of your pedigree and service Rob but I will say that you cannot deny that expat and I are amongst the longest serving and most dedicated supporters of Poole Town.

Longest serving maybe but supporters, not in my opinion. Supporters in my mind are positive in their support. Week after week we see the negative drivel that emanates from your your 'dear old friend'. Any opportunity to denigrate the efforts of the BoD, maniager, players, volunteers or ground and he jumps on it with glee. If it suits his agenda, he'll latch onto any criticism regardless of the fact that it comes from someone with limited knowledge who never attends away matches and quite often misses home ones too. Meanwhile he disrespects the opinion of those like Rob Bayston who are there every game, home and away and have a deep knowledge of modern non league football. Why? Because the facts don't suit his agenda Unfortunately Brian, you and a few others have hitched yourself to his wagon and your posts have lost the respect of those of us who now rarely use this forum, preferring to talk about our great club on more positive platforms

Born,Bred and educated in Poole. Worked in Poole for six years before i emigrated
First Poole Town Game was circa 1954. jimmy Ithell was the manager! Look that up
So i hold a candle to no one as to my PTFC antecedents
Facilitators of the status quo ante are, i believe, those responsible for the present rather lowly status of our Club
Come on, three season of winning the Wessex league(ground issues!!) and in one of the pass-overs our promotion spot went to the dreaded Magpies
Could not survive in the NLS, once again our relegation battle had been caused by,you guessed it,ground issues
And even very recently those same ground issues have cost us home matches and gates, and the Magpies are breathing down our necks where it comes to attendance. Why is that??
When our club is labelled ;The Laughing Stock of Dorset Football in the press do you not think it is the duty of a Supporter to ask meaningful questions?
Meanwhwile your target for Tuesday is 636. Don't Forget we are one tier above the Magpies and we are playing the League leaders who,as i previously pointed out, were thrown out of the league four or five seasons ago!

"Laughing stock of Dorset football"? Not one of us at yesterday's game recalled seeing that in the local press so some provenance is required please. Doesn't sound like a reporter's quote so possibly it was a comment by a reader? Maybe you spotted it on an opposition's forum? Maybe it was one of your own quotes on your beloved Terra's forum? Or maybe it's another figment of your anti dolphin imagination. I'm going for the latter. 🤔

Sadly Brian I’ve known you and had the privilege of meeting you on a few occasions when you’ve made the journey down, I’ve always found you to be a very educated amenable gentleman, but like Rob has eloquently stated you have appeared to come across a changed man and become one of Expats disciples, I’ve given up reading his constant drivel he produces on regular intervals via this forum, constantly contradicting everything everyone else post on here, one of his constant regurgitations is about a “ new” ground, doesn’t he think the BoD, fans etc etc don’t know and accept the issues? And are working tirelessly to move forward to resolve this problem, A simple reminder often forgotten by him, Weymouth and Dorchester both have ( enviably) acceptable grounds and facilities provided for and paid for by Tesco and Wimborne via Wyatt homes to replace previous grounds in other words in effect “ freebies”, Poole don’t have that as an option ( yet) so I make no apologies for blocking him to avoid having to read the nuts he puts on here so regularly, I wish you and your good lady the best of health and stay safe.

Okay everyone, of whatever persuasion you are, it's time to wind your necks in and stop the personal attacks on each other. Fortunately, in this country we still have the luxury of freedom of speech and should be able to express our views without fear of such verbal attacks. Come on, we all, in our own way, support Poole Town F.C. This doesn't mean we have to agree with, or be satisfied by, any individual, official or player's performance and correct me if I'm wrong, but one of the purposes of this forum is to give every individual the opportunity to air their opinion. So Expat, at the risk of being labelled one of your disciples, please don't be detered from expressing yours. Whether we agree with them or not, is a matter of choice and if any individual doesn't like them, they can stop using the forum, which, if my memory serves me well "Rob the Shirt", you chose to do a season or two ago.

I agree with grandad, that people should be free & I believe they are free to express, their views on anything Poole Town. However the rest of us are equally free to respond in agreement or opposition to whatever that stated view(s) is(are). Of course there is another option. I use it for some on here. I read the post & decide to ignore.

Grandad I agree with your post, but surely what you say about “ people’s “ reply to posts is exactly what I and Rob the shirt have done ? Freedom of speech? Right of reply?? But yes I agree “ personal attacks “ are not warranted, but in my view he talks garbage? Sorry if that offends!

I have no problem when people disagree with posts Rob, my point is with regard to the manner in which they are sometimes delivered, it's as if the author get pleasure in being offensive, especially when directed at ex-pat.

I agree with Granddad, please do not use this Forum to run down other members.
On another point regarding supporters over time. I started to support Poole Town straight after W W 2 back in the mid 1940's when attending matches with my Dad. Except for my 2 years National Service in the RAF I have supported Poole ever since. That makes it about 75 years!
Through thick and thin, various grounds we have survived. I can recall supporting Poole in the FA Cup at Queens Park Rangers and Watford grounds and Poole being one of the first Clubs to have floodlights, with if I recall, the first match was a friendly against Exeter City, others followed for example Man United all under the Stadium lights!
In those days the team had ex Internationals playing for them and houses to rent to the players.
