Great news this season is finally over! Big summer ahead!

Twenty eight entries saw the season out, meaning we had 1,324 entries throughout this challenging campaign
Of those final twenty eight, the majority went for Poole signing off with some more league points, just six believing it would end in defeat.
Twelve different scores were predicted but not the concluding 0-3 version, so we finish the season with a total of 74 perfec predictions. So, from this game the biggest returns were achieved by laserdad, overs65 and DorsetDolphin who each banked 5 points, bringing this tally to a massive 212. Only a further four players managed to better their entry point for match forty-eight, which means 521 times three points were added to an account, whilst today's 21 'thanks-for-playing' points meant the consolation return occurred 517 times.

A season totally lost. Next season the retained list if there is such a thing these days should be minimal and its totally wrong to sign players in advance of appointing a new manager. This team is way below par defensive problems still exist from a few seasons back. The most positive thing I can find to say about this season is I am so pleased the club has maintained its Southern Premium League status. I hope to get to watch some games at the BlackGold Stadium next season.

Ah well... a season that will be remembered for all the wrong reasons, when events off the field frequently had more impact than those on the pitch. When decisions made by those, who apparently do not have the Dolphins running through their veins, destroyed any hope the team had of success. When, yet again revenue via a decent cup run, or promotion, was thwarted, by off field actions. When yet again old fart fans like myself, were left dreaming of yester year and the likes of Stan Rickaby. Yet despite all of that, yet another season when die hard supporters eagerly await the beginning of the next, dreaming of a long and glorious cup run and promotion. Farwell 2023-24..... bring it on 2024-25. It's now up to those in control of the club to either make it happen or to bring in whatever it is, that is needed. If they can't, then let's thank them for their efforts and hope they have the decency to say farewell.
