If there is the demand for it, then I would just like to advise that I am quite prepared to once again facilitate the Prediction League.
To summarise the few simple rules and the points system.
Points are achieved by
(a) 2 points for correctly predicting the Dolphins' goal tally in the game
(b) 2 points for correctly predicting the oppositions' goal tally in the game
(c) 2 points if correct Win / Loss / Draw outcome is predicted
(d) 2 points for an all round totally correct prediction
(e) 1 point for entering a prediction
eg: A prediction states Poole to win 2-1.
If that proves to be the final score then the entry would receive the maximum 9 points.
If however Poole were to win 3-0 then the entry would receive 3 points - category (c) and category (e).
Likewise, a 4-1 win would gain 5 points under the criteria of categories (b), (c) and (e)
Scores at 90 minutes are taken (no extra time).
First team fixtures only form part of the prediction league.
Entries need to be submitted no later than kick off time of a respective game.
Once threads are opened please could members just restrict their postings in such threads to predictions only as it makes it a bit easier to trail through and add the information to the database.
Forum user names are used to show the league table, so, if for any reason during the season a user name changes please could you quote the original username when making your entry.
Also it helps if predictions are made unambiguous ie please state the teams name and the scores. I am happy for it to read something like Poole to win 2-1 or Poole to lose 2-1 or even Poole 2 - 1 Opponents even if the match is an away one. But entries of just "2-1" can be misinterpreted.
I will attempt to update the league table and analysis on the same day as a match is played. This may not always be possible but hopefully it will be as soon as is practically possible.
Finally, this is a 'for fun only' league. There are no prizes just personal glory for the member who finishes top!!
