The Consultation process officially ended last night and the preliminary figures are shown on the table attached. Please not that the fianl numbers will not be known until the Planning Dept has published ALL the submissions. The total for Poole Borough Council online submissions will increase as this total (53) was as at 31st December. This was the day that the easy online form was created. The paper forms submissions may increase as a number of people at the Brock game on Tuesday said that they would post them directly to the Civic Centre and we do not know how many people printed the forms themselves. The number of online submissions from the easy may go down slightly as some submissions may be spoof emails. I believe that this would only affect 1 or 2 emails. Most of the submissions are fom the Poole and Bournemouth area but there are submissions from all over the country. I know of submissions from fans of: AFC Bournemouth Southampton Wimborne Town Hayes and Yeading United Slough Town Romsey Town Thank you to everyone that commented on the application and now we must wait for the decision. Thanks DC but there are others that did a massive amount. Dick Thomas charmed literally hundreds at the Labour Club to get the forms signed.
Fran/Sterteroad printed flyers and handed out the printed forms.
Sam? Bumford stood at the gate handing forms to everyone that passed at the Brockenhurst game.
The main thing was it took some pressure off the BoD. Clearly they are working their socks off behind the scenes at the moment.
Now we wait for the decision and then we realy have to start working to raise the money to build the stadium.

These are amazing numbers indeed John!
A lot of the impetus and ideas came from you but you are quite right to identify the others involved in this remarkable campaign.
Surely the decision MUST be in the club's favour this time around! Then, as you ay, there will be morw work to be done.
A very big thank you from me personally to all involved. No doubt the other exiles are equally grateful.

I think the twittering had an effect as well judging from some of the other national post and even one international - PARIS

Yes I forgot all those,
Oxford, Australia Canada France, Norway Rochdale Morecambe
I think there was one from Bashley too.

Once the planning process is complete (and it is not yeat), the real work begins. Remember you are only as good as your last game!

I agree Peter but we must be aware that the final block to Branksome was NOT the local objection but the"Open Space" designation of the Rec itself.
I don't see any such objection with Bearwood and indeed there seems to substantial local support for the plan.
I also suspect that, in the light of the red faces at the Civic Centre after Branksome, the Planning Office may have already looked at any issues at Bearwood.
So with crossed fingers I can say that I think that there are no major barriers to getting planning permission but once permission is given, then the small task of raising the money to build the stadium complex begins.

Just a quick update. There are now 398 documents online of which 382 are comments and to my knowledge only 1 is against the application. There are a number of Bearwood residents in favour and a certain Mr Austin has also added his weight to the application.

There was a letter of support e-mailed to the council on 7th January by a local resident and former chairman of the planning committee Leslie legg which I hope will be of some significance-he cites the support for the scheme of many of the locals-how refreshing!!

As Chris and Sterteroad say, Mr Legg's letter is a powerful endorsement of the Club's plans.
The planning department has continued to add comments that were sent before the deadline of end 7th Jan.
As a result there are now 405 documents, 389 of which are comments and as far as I can tell 388 are supportive.

Well done John and thanks to everyone involved with the 'doorstepping' to individuals. The Planning Committee really should take notice of this outpouring of support for the common sense resolution to a twenty year ground saga. Are you listening Members???

Anyone reading the Echo today on the departure of the AFCB mgr and the resulting bitterness of some of the fans should reflect on the influence of BIG MONEY on the professional game. More than proud to follow my Home Town Dolphins and the never say die attitude from everone concerned that has sustained OUR team through some some very bad times.
ON TO WEMBLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UP THE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!!

The application will not be discussed at the Planning committee meeting next week however it seems that it will be discussed at a scheduled planning meeting at the Civic Centre. It will be open to the public and everyone that commented on the application will be informed by the, Council, in writing of the time and date of the meeting.
It may be discussed at the Feb 10th planning meeting or possibly in March.

Also a glowing report and support from Sport England.
Maybe this will just swing it.
