Will there be a public meeting soon? And will there be another "planning meeting" held at the ferry buildings? What is the predicted time-scale? That is something the council could do to help, fast track the application. Time is not on our side

No need for another public meeting as there does not appear to be any public opposition. Perhaps no need for such a public planning meeting for the same reason. Decision expected in Feb. Very much doubt it would be fast tracked.

I thought that working out the PPG table was tricky but I will attempt to explain. This will be hard as the fingers on both hands are crossed.
The expiry date for consultation (i.e. comments etc) is the 7th Jan. The Target Determination Date is 25 Feb 2011. I think that this is the day by which the decision is expected.
It appears that only contested decisions go to planning committee and most decisions are decided and approved within 7 days of the Target Determination Date.
So providing there are no real objections, we should be good to go by the 4th March. COYD.
It may be that the decision is made by the 25th Feb, in which case we could be celebrating at the game at Tatnam against New Milton Town on the 26th.

Having the opportunity to start from scratch with a new ground and pitch. Is it totally out of the question to consider under soil heating? Presumably, it would be less expensive to install at this stage?

The grant process is immense!
We are working with a very experienced and respected grant consultant and the FA are treating us as a priority project but that still leaves massive hoops to jump through and also a huge deficit to fund.Planning has to be in place as does an agreement for lease and awide array of other issues -Business Plan --Football Development Plan. These have to address an incridible degree of detail and must be approved by the FA and the grant authorities.
as you would expect this immense exercise is taking up a huge amount of time and effort
We are very fortunate to have an enthusiastic landowner to work with and his business organisation will hopefully be the catalyst that makes this happen.
We have every reason to be optimistic but there is still a long way to go and a lot to put in place--our progress in the 12 months since the Wreck farce has been incredible and that is what has to be hung on to in terms of our patience rather than the 15 years since we were compelled to leave the Stadium.
No one is more anxious for our new ground than the BOD!!

Chris please be patient with us. We are all kids at heart and it is nearly Christmas and we are trying to guess what our presents are. Have no fear that we are behind you all the way.
That the club has managed to get from Branksome (2nd December last year) to Bearwood is a credit to the whole BOD and is something that none of us could have contemplated at Christmas last year.
Thankfully the game is on today and thoughts are back to football.

After reading every post on this thread, would it be a fair assumption that if everything goes to plan, we'll be playing at Bearwood roughly a year from now ?

I would say that's a bit ambitious Parky, based on the timescales that have been discussed on the forum. Even if the infastructure is complete the pitch will take a while to bed in surely I suppose it would very largely depend on the start date. My guess would be 2012 at the earliest
