Chris Reeves is going to post a full report of last nights meeting later. But, one main thing for us supporters to do will be the erecting and taking down temporary fencing at Tatnam next season, if we get promoted and the FA accept the club's bid for Level 4. The Board have asked for as many volunteers as possible for this. The plan would be for a minimum of four teams of eight people, obviously the more the merrier. One team would erect the fences before a match and another team would take it down after the game/ the next morning. So each team would be required for approximately 11 games. So far we already have 24 volunteers, the board are willing to do their share, but we need as many as possible to help the club. Not all the work will require Olympic weightlifters, so all ages and abilities will be more than welcome. The club are even planning to purchase trolleys to move the equipment about. Obviously not everybody could be available to help all of the time, but even an extra pair of hands for twenty minutes here and there would help. As things stand we would not be required until August, fingers crossed, but if you are willing to help the Club in progressing, please PM me, or give me, Franny Lee, a call on 07919 957401 mobile, or work 01489 612402. With the temporary fencing being taken down after each game, it stands to reason that the stand grills will still have to be taken down & replaced for each match, as is currently the case. At least 4 guys who last night volunteered for the fencing rota will also be involved in their usual “stand grill” duties, and tied up for approx’ ½ hour before and after matches (I accept the perimeter fencing could come down next morning). Whatever, we sure need bodies. So as the posting above, please let’s all pull together to keeping building on the superb efforts of all involved to date. We mustn’t think “O.K. we have enough on the rota they’ll be alright now” - I guess in this scenario you can never have enough. This initiative is purely down to the best supporters in this (and most other leagues) to make happen. If you can spare the time, it would be fantastic if you could get in touch as indicated above. If the club continues to stay on the up, what a great feeling in the years ahead to look back and think of the part you played (however small it may seem) to have helped. There’s already a hard core of people who have put in so much in over many years to date. Please give a hand to get this fantastic club back where it belongs. What’s clearly coming from the Board is a rallying cry to the clubs great supporters, let’s respond in kind. The team, both on the park & management, have been outstanding and done their bit (keep working lads, there’s still a lot to do) – let’s try and match their efforts as best we can.

Well said bh12, as the Board have said, they are doing their bit (and then some) now it's the supporters turn to stand up and be counted.

I think there are people such as our fine ladies of the bar who do more than their share already. The appeal is aimed at those who have no major commitments at the club already :-)
