Problem seems to be Eastwood Town FC. They have been told that they will not be allowed into the play-offs in the Conference North.
It appears that they had a late run and got into Play-Off contention very late on. Neither the club, FA or Conference have commented but it seems that they had not met the A Grade before the 1st March (it is earlier than other leagues in the Conference).
The appeal will be heard next week and the results of all gradings and promotion applications (including PTFC) will be published by the FA Leagues Committee on Tuesday April 26th.
I believe there were some dissenters at the farm this afternoon, i understand that they blocked in the CD & his daughter Sam, complaining about not being consulted over the fence. Could the CD fill us in on wot it was all about please ?

I don't wish to blow this one out of proportion so will just cover a few facts:
Cllr Gillard had asked to speak to the FA prior to the grading, asking us/me to pass a message to them to call him. We/I refused. Yesterday he collared me in the interval and put his case. Today I happened to be at Tatnam and was leaving as Cllr Gillard and the local residents were touring the facilities. I was not detained, but felt I could not just ignore them and faced some, at times, hostile questioning over a 45 min period. I accepted that perhaps we as a club had not kept them fully informed regarding the upgrade, but did try to point out that we had very little or no time to spare in achieving what we did. I do believe they were calmer when we were finished than when we started, but there was certainly some bridges to repair.

Councillor Gillard has now lost my vote for sure. Cant wait for him to come round the door asking for my support in the election. Sounds to me like he was trying to get the ground rejected by the FA and deprive Poole Town of its rightful promotion, am I wrong?

As DY has said, lets not blow this out of proportion. The actions of CD seem to have calmed matters and I think we are better off letting sleeping dogs lie (even if they are growling a bit). Least said soonest mended.
On another note, on Saturday two boys were having a kick about in the school side goal, proving that the Tatnam allows more access that it has done previously.
