Can't believe the outcome today. Gutted. As a Branksome resident and a Poole Town supporter, I am so disappointed. The Rec really needs improvement and would have been a fantastic boost. Such a shame there are very narrow-minded people out there who only see what they want to see. Think some people were anticipating a massive stadium with thousands of people!!
Pat on the back for all those who have worked hard for this. This Club deserves a new home and to be supported by their own community.
Fingers crossed for a successful season, and to show "them" we can rise above their tactics!

Great shout from nursejo DONT GIVE THE FATCAT BIGWIGS FROM THE COUNCIL TICKETS TO THE VASE WHEN WE GET THERE Absolutely right pls and jojo! The contrast between what the local council has done for the the Shrimps here in Morecambe whose new stadium is now well underway and how Poole Council has repeatedly let down and duped PTFC is not just stark but stunning!!!

On a brighter note - This thread has reached a record number of replies and all within a 24 hour period. I know the news was not good, but it demonstrates the level of support we do have. As they also say - No news is bad news. It felt like bad news yesterday, but as we hear, it is not the end. We got a lot of publicity yesterday and to grow, we need the community to know we are still in existence and going strong in our league. That message was broadcast a number of times yesterday. The treble is still on. I believe!

Yes indirectly this has created much publicity for PTFC and at least the town's people know the club is alive and kicking.
Also the club and its supporters can walk away from the BR saga with their heads held high after displaying impeccable behaviour, sometimes under provocation.

Been out of circulation a few days so only just caught up with the news. So disappointed for Chris & the team who have put in tremendous effort the last few months (years?). Also must have cost a fair bit. But had a sneaky feeling this would go against us.
Even in defeat I would like to congratulate all those from PTFC involved for their great enthusiasm & commitment to try and pull off this great vision for the future of the club.
As I think I said after the first public meeting - Branksome residents got what they deserved! (although I appreciate many did back us).

I pitched in my tuppence worth to the council and am sorry it has gone this way after all the effort you have all put in. Lots of positives though as others have said above.
