With all the excitement attached to promotion, new players, prospects in the SL and the possibility (certainty?) of climbing back to where we were (and deserve to be again); the new ground has perhaps almost become something that we don't think too much about now but take for granted and expect to happen sometime in the future.
I realise that there will be an enormous amount of work done by a lot of committed people before Bearwood becomes a reality so I know it's asking a lot but I wonder if the BOD could put regular (say, monthly) updates about progress on the forum?

Wouldn't it be great if we could get the "Project Bearwood" site on the Official Borough of Poole website and promote this as a Poole Homecoming event world wide. There must be hundreds of Pooleites scattered across the country and around the world who would revel in the chance to return for a week long event which would spread lots of money around and celebrate the renaissance of our storied football club. Lets get some of our new Poole party pols on board with some Poolefest ideas which will benefit both the Town and the Dolphins

Now that travelers have moved in time to tour Bearwood with our collection buckets to get the stadium built quicker.
I am sure those residents will give generously after not sleeping soundly tonight.

Is Bearwood still going ahead? I was talking to someone the other day who said he had spoken to Charlie Austin at Poole conservative club the other day and apparntly the focus now is on upgrading facilities at Tatnam and there is some doubt over whether or not Bearwood will go ahead? He also mentioned the asking price for Charlie is £3 million which apparntly PTFC get 10% of? I always understood it to be 5% but if it's 10 then all the better!

The situation is, as I understand it, that the move to the new ground is still on when the funding is in place which is something of an indeterminate factor in terms of time scale! Meanwhile, Tatnam is being upgraded to meet the ground grading requirements to keep us in the Southern Prem and to offer decent facilities to visiting teams and officials. If this is true, if Charlie moves for a few million, if we get 10% of that then, I presume, the move will take place and we'll have a new ground that could take us to the heights we aspire to!
As I say that is what I understand to be the position - unless the PTFC Board members know different in which case, I presume, they'll tell us!

a great position for the Town to be in. Let's get on with trying to get another rung up the ladder and cross the Bearwood stile when we get to it. Personally I'm sticking with our slogan of a few years past THE TOWN ARE BACK IN POOLE!!!!!

....have you noticed the almost universal theme amongst the objectors to our plans. They(say they)support our Club and want to see us do well. I think a lot of people are now identifying the success of PTFC with that of the Ancient Borough itself even if some of them still don't know where we play!! Lot of goodwill out there to capitalize on(thinks: wouldn't a good cup run go down well!!!) UP THE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!!!!!!!!!!!
