what we need to know is how many people might be interested in such a service (which would start from central Poole and have regular pick ups on the way)and also how much they might be prepared to pay.
obviously we would look to keep cost as low as possible and the more who are likely to use it the easier that gets.
We will be expected to have analysed this for the purposes of our negotiations with the planning office.
Steve - could you keep this as a priority posting please?

Yes great idea. Would it be one pick-up or collecting on a round robin?
I was wondering if an arrangement with Wilts&Dorset, using their buses, could be negotiated. Starting from their bus station at a certain time and collecting at various stops on the way to Bearwood. Much as the same as they do for Rockley Park, Hamworthy. The "Dolphin Express"

I know the boys that go behind the goal on match days would be interested in the bus, there is 5 or 6 of them sometimes more.

This is hard Chris as we don't know how many will switch to the bus and as it is the end of the season, it will be difficult to get an accurate picture.
Living in Canford Heath, there would be no point me going back into Poole and I know at least a dozen others live close to me.
The best way to approach this would be in partnership with the Bus company. there is currently no service to Bearwood on Route 11 on a Saturday. Maybe Saturday their could be a skeleton service agreed with Wilts and Dorset, that would help the locals too. However the number 11 goes straight up Ringwood Road, and I believe that a stop or two at Tatnam and other places would be a good idea.
The football traffic might just be enough to make the route 11(a) viable on Saturdays.
Evening Matches would be a problem though. Have to think a bit harder on that one although of course a more formal car sharing scheme could be arranged.

one thing for sure, Poole Boro won't need a dedicated bus service....just looked at their latest photos and counted 2(!!) spectators for a spine tingler vs Hammers Res. With Bearwood in prospect the Dolphins are on the right side of History. 2011/12 season major prediction: The Dolphins to gain promotion again!!

Maybe Poole Borough could take over Tatnam when we go and become a 'nursery club' for the Town!
Love your prediction expat! I only predicted the play-offs for us but - who knows?

Maybe Poole Borough could take over Tatnam when we go and become a 'nursery club' for the Town! And Poole Quay FC become the bus driver...
