Sorry - I don't pick up local news at the best of times and I'm in Scotland for the rest of the week. Are you saying Karim has gone (if so where - please can someone post details) or are you asking a hypothetical question?
Thanks
Doug

Andy Starmore has also reported the apparent signing of Karim by Ham Utd - his article is here:- www.pitchside.net/Hamworthy%20Utd/Bannsaouda%20signs%20for%20Hammers%20110504.htmHowever, I wouldn't necessarily believe everything you have heard so far. Certainly Karim has spoken to a few clubs which was only to be expected. Karim did attend the End of Season party last night and as yet he has NOT signed on the dotted line for anyone so talk of ink having dried on a contract with Pikey is a little premature I reckon. Whilst we know it will be tough to hang on to him we also know it will take a big offer to tempt him away. If another club has the resources to do that then so be it - wouldn't blame Karim at all. Hopefully there is still a chance we can keep him - should know soon enough I guess! Steve

Sorry guys I was listening to a couple of my mates who play for HUFC. And said Karim was there at their last match of the season. That coupled with Pikey saying he's been contracted lead me to believe its a done deal

KARIM HAS SIGNED FOR HAM UTD,...IT WAS DOWN TO MONEY...AND A JOB OFFER WHICH HAS SECURED HIS SIGNATURE...AND MY SOURCES TELL ME HE HAS SIGNED A CONTRACT....I THOUGHT A BANNED PLAYER COULDN,T SIGN FOR ANOTHER CLUB UNTIL HIS BAN WAS UP INTERESTING........
KARIM HAS MOVED SIDEWAYS....AND NOT UPWARDS I WONDER HOW MUCH HE WILL REGRET THIS DECISION......BEING TIED TO ONE CLUB....
I ALSO UNDERSTAND POPPIES WERE INTERESTED..BUT SHAUN CHANGED HIS MIND AFTER WATCHING KARIM... MAIN CONCERN HOW MANY GAMES WOULD HE BE AVAILABLE DUE TO HIS DISCIPLINARY RECORD.
I'M SURE PAUL AND DEAN WILL HAVE A REPLACEMENT ALREADY IN MIND......

Actually, in league terms, Karim has moved up, as Hamworthy United should be playing in Wessex League 1 next season (whereas we are in Wessex League 2). As you mentioned, however, he will have a suspension to serve around the start of next season. Still, as with previous favourites that have moved on, I think we can only thank him for his efforts for Poole Town, and wish him the best at his new club.
Incidentally, with the extension of the Wessex League, we will no longer be able to sign players from Wessex League clubs on dual forms, as we have relied on doing in the past to field a team for several midweek fixtures. Hence the urgent requirement to get the reserve side up and running.
This means that Karim, and any player signing forms for a Wessex League team (Wimborne, Poppies, Hamworthy United, L&NM, Christchurch, Poole Town etc) will effectively be tied to one club once the transfer window closes.
