Thanks very much Parky. I noticed that the link to this article was on the PTFC website this morning slepe, in that little news box on the left hand side. So I got it from our site first although I suppose it must have been in the paper before it was there. It's great news. Well done Chris and Clive. Things are getting really exciting now!!!

Guys-the press are relentless!! the outside the box answer is very sensitive and the second choice answer is still subject to FA ratification so we are naturally anxious to keep a low profile until we can be certain--we have spent God knows how many man months let alone hours exploring so many different plans and schemes and opportunities-if we had disclosed everything there wouldnt have been enough gigwhatsits in cyberspace to cope with the postings!! We hope we are nearly there on all the complex fronts to trying to get this great club of ours promoted with the expectation of a proper home of our own in due course but until things are definite can we be blamed for a degree of apprehension about too much info too soon??

Will you?
Just a couple of thoughts i had, Average home gate 250 but when we play a local away game Poppies or x church we take approx 100 fans and a bit further a field 50 or 60 fans so depending where the ground share is will people go to a home game, and we are not going to win every game so we could be a mid table team. People are use to poole winning more often than not, look at the predection league or the reaction to the draw on saturday.Attandances do drop when teams are not winning.I am looking forward to southern league so i can do some different grounds. So will you go win ,lose or draw?wherever the groud share maybe

1. Average home gate 250 but when we play a local away game Poppies or x church we take approx 100 fans and a bit further a field 50 or 60 fans so depending where the ground share is will people go to a home game:
We will lose some from the gate. There are a number of people that walk to the ground from the Oakdale/Sterte areas that may not go to a groundhsare and may not even go to Bearwood. It is inevitable but the club must, and I am sure will, do everything to ensure as large a crowd as possible. In the case of Wimborne there was a big surge in crowds at the start in the Southern League and and then a tail off when results went against them.
The trick is to have a good start, get Bearwood useable as soon as possible and begin to build local support in the Merley, Bearwood, Kinson and surrounding areas at the same time as ensuring that the casual fan gets every chnace to get to both the ground share and Bearwood.
2. We are not going to win every game so we could be a mid table team. People are use to poole winning more often than not, look at the predection league or the reaction to the draw on saturday.
Again true. There is an inbuilt superstition about predicting a defeat or even a draw so the prediction league is slighty skewed in that way but it is a bit of fun. Most of us realise that winning is not a divine right and that it will be hard when we are again one of the pack.
We also have to realise that some supporters are casual . They will return again when times improve and each time the attendance grows, a few more become "sticky", more committed.
3. Attandances do drop when teams are not winning.I am looking forward to southern league so i can do some different grounds. So will you go win ,lose or draw?wherever the groud share maybe
Most of the locals on this board will go to a groundshare and will go to Bearwood. Some may not but th club will continue to grow if things are done in the right way.

It won't make any difference to me pt15. I take your point but we have to progress!
I must echo sterteroad's thanks to the BOD for all their efforts and accept fully CR's point about the press. I know what they are like from personal experience long ago!!
JohnA; I take back what I said about canonisation for you because that is really only for dead persons! Instead I bestow upon you the status of "blessed JohnA". Thank you.

- Chris Reeves
- Clive Robbins
- Rob Bayston
- The rest of the BoD
- Tom Killick
- Taffy Richardson
- Steve Cuss
- Dick Thomas (personally got over 100 signatures for the Planning App)
- CD, DY and all the Bumfords
- Sterteroad. Fran Lee, Dylan.
Deserve real praise. Add to this list tthe matchday stewards the people that run the bar, the tea bar, the programme sellers. I am sorry for anyone I have missed but my point is that we all do what we can or what we want to. As you can here when you listen to Chris's interview last night, we are a big club, the support, the number of teams we run it is outstanding. I did none of this. I am not worthy.
