Guys first and foremost a big thank you to all those who gave us support today be it local or from afar, you really are a superb bunch of supporters, whilst the result went against us today if we are honest once the PO decided to not support this application we were up against it despite the excellent presentations for us from Chris, Sue Hough (DCFA) Scott Charlton and Tanner and Tilly, we could do no more,
Although it was not want we wanted to hear, we as a BoD have already started on plan B, I will leave that to Chris to explain in more detail when it is appropriate, but trust me we will overcome this set back, how long it will take will the players stay with us etc etc is for another day, but we as a board will do everything possible to ensure this fantastic club continue to grow, right now lets all get behind the team on Sat at Eastbourne, get the result we deserve and one more step to wembley. Down we may be but out MOST DEFIANTLY NOT OUT, now is not the time to get divided loyalties amongst ourselves but to reunite as a team, remember TEAM stands for Together Everyone Achieves More.

Brillaint Rob!! As I said elsewhere, the best answer to our failed local politicians would be to win the FA Vase. See you on Saturday. Hope it's not called off 'cos I'm booked on a trip to Eastbourne whatever happens!

For those of you who haven't done so already, now is the time to join the Supporters Club and help the Club when we most need it. All monies raised go to supporting the Club, there is no political agenda and it's a chance to have your input into the Club.

Trust me Plan B if / when approved wil be 300% better for the long term future of PTFC. Agreed Rob. Well done everyone today we managed to get through that sham of a democratic process with dignity. And I am letting the excitement of the plan B overcome the disappointment of earlier. Don't worry Rob you can be sure those loyal supporters will be there when needed next time

I am so proud to be associated with this club the turn out today and the attitude displayed by our supporters was inspirational the plan B is Canford Arena the people of Poole will not benefit as much as if the Council had had the bravery to continue their support for the rec but the supporters of PTFC could well find themselves with a much better facility and one with no constraints as to how far we could go It is a long story as to how this has come about and as to why it wasnt first choice-when the time is right I will tell all but for now we must focus on making it happen and when it is definite I can tell the whole story the main man at Canford Arena is wll known to me and someone I have utmost respect for Thank you for all your support-please keep that going!!Without you the club is nothing I have spoken at length to Tom tonight and he is unwavering in his commitment and confident that that will be the players view let's make the Eastbourne game a statement of our togetherness we have come so far over the last 3/4 years we must keep the faith Sue Hough fromDCFA was a magnificent ally today -she is a convert to our cause and will be a great influence in our favour with the FA in the future I have no doubt There were so many positives from Councillors today about needing to ensure we had a fitting home albeit not at Branksome Rec that I am confident of no political oposition for Plan B FINALLY-PLEASE KEEP ON SUPPORTING THE BEST CLUB IN THE LAND COYD PS-Dylan-I thoght Dolphins were supposed to be lovable-what did you do to upset BRAG???

Oh well Branksome Rec is dead, long live Canford Arena!!!
I think if this gets going will be much better than Branksome Rec anyway. I wasnt over keen on the Rec but was coming round to it and looking forward to it if im honest. But Canford would be great for the club, well done to all involved for your hard work, and good luck with the new venture.

Respect to all the board on all the time & effort they have put into this as well as all the supporters!! If I remember rightly didn't 'Eades' say at one of the earlier meetings that he has nothing against PTFC and if the plans were going to be at Canford Arena then he would be in full support for it and behind it. Not that we need his help but it would interesting to see if he puts his money were his big mouth is!!! We're only 1 nil down and we all know what happens when Poole go one down....... we come back fighting and win!! COYD

As an outsider, good luck with your plan B. If it is true that PC asked PT to take over BR then PC should consider refunding the substantial money that PT have spent on their proposal to the planning committee. Raising that kind of money takes a great effort within a club such as PT. I know this will not happen. It is time that another Wessex league club made it to the final of the FA Vase, such as Wimborne and Totton, so good luck to TK and his team at Eastbourne this week

Good points supermac, thanks. Thanks Chris and everyone who has cheered me up with this thread. I must also thank dorsetyellow for his encouraging telephone call last night when I was telling the morecambedolphin all about it and feeling pretty depressed.

I am very encouraged by Chris' post on plan B, it's also excellent to hear of Tom's reaction to the disappointment to BR.
Most of you know I turned up as a neutral three seasons ago and have now gone on to be an enthusiastic supporter - one of the main reasons for this is the absolute openness from the Chairman, vice Chairman and board at the club which makes all relevant news to do with the club easy to obtain. It's very refreshing.
I'm already looking forward to the next stage in plan B.

Great to see the Board so soon on to Plan B after the disappointment of Branksome Rec. This sounds an interesting proposal. Like Lagland Street I too had reservations about Branksome Rec. I am a great believer in fate. Branksome Rec was not for us for a reason - sounds like we could now have something better as a result. Great to hear Tommy's continuing commitment to the club as well.
