This post was originally on the main board but it should really be here.
As most of the new buildings are prefabricated and shipped to site there should be little disturbance to match days.
I suspect that a lot of the really disruptive work will happen when we have no home games for a couple of weeks. The ground works for most of the new structures would not take long, based on some of the worK I have had done recently. The new club house and toilet house are, probably bog standard (sorry) Portacabin type buildings and may take just a few weeks. The stand may take longer it will be made to our requirements.
I am sure Rod Taylor is already tearing out what little hair he has left after the last two upgrades but I am also sure he and the rest of the BoD are on top of things.
Finally, despite having always said that Grade C was the best we could achieve at Tatnam, I am now not convinced. Having reread the regulations it is just possible that with goodwill on all sides, Tatnam could achieve Grade B for Conf South. However it is still my belief that Grade B is a step too far so don't get too excited.

On the Poole planning application site the official "APPROVED" notice has been posted today 4/10/2013. Will we now see some of the work commencing?

According to a tweet on PTFC twitter, the landlord (guess who? That's right, Poole Council!) is holding things up in spite of the planning permission! How can we fans help?

Lets get the party started had a belly full of opposing fans taking the piss out of our facilities on their forums. Although we are all rightly proud of all that has already been achieved.

Just an update. It is reported in the Ohec that the Club have had an inspection done on the ground. www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/10865599.Poole_Town__Ground_inspection_throws_up__no_surprises__for_Dolphins/?ref=ebThis will have shown, as expected that Tatnam is not currently fit for Step 3 or Southern Premier football. However I suspect that the reason for the inspection was to be sure that the proposed improvements will meet the needs of the FA's Grade C Grading Document. It is further proof, if any were needed, that the BoD are on top of things. With work due to begin in the new year, it is vital that all required work is completed to the required standard. The report from the inspectors gives a check list that ensures nothing has been missed. Any differences in interpretation between the club and the inspectors can be addressed in good time. Many clubs fail grading at the end of March with no time do the extra work. Having an inspection prior to work commencing means that there is almost no chance of any nasty surprises. Well done BoD.

Waiting for this story to go online but the OHEC don't seem in a rush,so i scanned it on here. Could only show the text due to download of 1 MB. Considering all the hassle from the school and Poole Council just to get what we have now, A permanent home 2500 seated capacity if he pulls this one off then arise Mitchell the magician. If you log in click on the text becomes full page.

Managed to OCR dubchek's scan and is shown below:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> EDDIE Mitchell is keen to help Poole Town put down firm roots on their own doorstep - by building them a permanent home at Tatnam. Ex-Cherries chairman Mitchell yesterday concluded a deal to acquire a two-year option to purchase a majority shareholding in the Southern League outfit. And the Dorset-based property developer, who sold his stake in AFC Bournemouth in September, would almost certainly take a controlling interest in the club should he achieve his aim. Mitchell brokered an agreement with owners Clive Robbins and Chris Reeves and immediately revealed plans to keep the club at its current base. The Dolphins, kicked out of Poole Stadium in 1994, moved to Tatnam in 2005 after ground- sharing at Hamworthy and Holt and are 10 years into a 21-year lease at the venue. Mitchell told the Daily Echo: "We are looking at various options and I know the club has been searching high and low for a number of years. It is not an easy task and, first and foremost, you have to look at where we are now. "Although my preferred choice would have been Poole Stadium, I don't think the lease holders are interested in Poole. I don't think for one minute that it would be viable and the figures quoted to a colleague were unrealistic. "Staying long term at Tatnam would be ideal. The pitch is big enough and there is a lot of ground around it. I have already drawn up plans for a 2,500-seater stadium and we are looking at different parts of the infrastructure to go with it. "Councils everywhere are realising the importance football clubs have in the community and Poole needs a new facility because not having one has stunted the club's growth. It would be great to be able to provide something at Tatnam so youngsters walking past could say "when I'm older, I want to play there". "We have to aim high. It would be nice if we could turn it into a longer-term agreement and offer some facilities for the school. "The park-and-ride is close by, there are lots of car parks in Poole and Tatnam is not too far to walk from the centre. It would be fantastic." Poole vice-chairman Reeves confirmed Mitchell had said he would only exercise the option once a shareholders' agreement had been put in place to provide reassurance that the club would "continue to be run in the future in the way it had in the past and all decisions would be made by the board of directors". Reeves added: "I have been very impressed with Eddie's commit- ment and enthusiasm and he has been a breath of fresh air. He is somebody with influence and the right experience and is keen to help our cause." CONTACT ME t: 01202 411272 e: neil.perrett@ bournemouthecho.co.uk twitter: @neilperrettecho

I did not want to interrupt the happy thoughts on the main forum so I am posting this here.
With the new drainage trenches and the weather set fair through till Sunday, will the pitch be playable on Tuesday and will it then be able to withstand a moderate downpour?

Walked through Tatnam today. Builders did not exactly seem to be grafting and seems like a mountain to climb in three weeks or so. Hope the Club can do it, after all the work that has been put in over the years. Was told that the School are keen to regain their sports field before too long though, so hope Mr Mitchell can work his magic for you. Maybe will come back at some point, depends...

I am sure that with expanding roles and the change in the junior/senior school switch that the School would like some of the field back. However the club have over half of the 25 year lease on Tatnam remaining. If the council want it back then a suitable alternative would need to be found.
