That is what I took from TK's post match interview on Saturday. Clearly there are more twists and turns to come in this league but the next four games are vital.
Tonight against the Hammers should be a welcome change from the pressures of the league but for the Hammer's players, this is their season (and to some , career) defining game. It will not be easy but despite that it should provide the boys with a g ood run out and Tom the chance to try some things he would not usually try. Still need the win though as a Trophy is a Trophy.
Then we have Hungerford and St Albans. Hungerford need to be beaten. A team that can barely raise a football team from their supporters should not be challenging for a place in the Conferennce South. They are clearly kept afloat by a benefactor that could withdraw support at any time. They stand between us and the playoffs so they must be beaten.
St Albans. A team that has almost gone under several times recently due to over spending by over ambitious owners. A club like Salisbury that has some fans that seem to believe they have a divine right to be at a higher level. They don't and neither do we. Let's make it as hard for them as some of their fans would like it to be for us.
Win these three games and we have a fighting chance but in true football tradition let's take one game at a time and neat the Hammers tonight COYD.

I hope Hungerford and St A don't read this - the team talk might just have been written for them

I hope Hungerford and St A don't read this - the team talk might just have been written for them Unless they've had their heads in the sand for the last week or two - I suspect every supporter of every team in our league ( and beyond!) are pretty much aware of this. Well put John - One game at a time - I can just feel an RWA song coming out for that.

I hope Hungerford and St A don't read this - the team talk might just have been written for them To be fair I am not the first, nor the last to criticise either St. Albans or Hungerford and I have often praised Hungerford on other forums. Both are top footballing teams but both are clubs whose current foundations are built on sand. If me saying it on our forum is enough to spur those players to a victory they would not have had the fight for, then so be it. It would show a lack of character that an opposing supporter were taken more seriousley than a manager. I am flattered however that anyone would think that anything I said would affect the outcome of a football match.

Just how many times have St Albans almost gone under in recent times?
By my calculations it was once in 2001
