Lots of rumours that he has and to Totton.
Plenty of chance for it to have been denied by the board but no-one has, so seems like there is something in it.

It's true. He's said his goodbyes on the supporters Facebook page.
A lot left unsaid in his goodbye too.

Still nothing on the Poole Town Official Site about Tony going. If Destiny's going is worthy of a mention on the official website then surely, the club parting ways with the most prolific scorer we've had for many years, is just as noteworthy. Yet another example of the BoD choosing to keep fans in the dark. Is there more to this than they feel we deserve to know.

It's now there, farewell to Tony but a sign of things going on at the club if (arguably) the best striker in the division, adored by the fans, sees his future elsewhere. www.pooletownfc.co.uk/news/tony-lee-2

Sad to see Tony go but Poole will carry on without him, only want players who want to play for Poole at Poole.

Good to see that the official website has now, eventually, been updated re Tony Lee going. Thanks to Chris Reeves for doing this. I dare say rumours will continue to circulate and we will never get to know the full story behind the reasons but whatever they are Tony deserved official recognition. Thanks again Chris.

I dare say rumours will continue to circulate and we will never get to know the full story behind the reasons but whatever they are Tony deserved official recognition. Thanks again Chris. I posted this on the website as soon as both clubs had agreed we would announce, and as soon as the League and FA had approved the move as per due process that we always follow with such signings/moves. Nothing sinister, nothing held back, the full story is in the article.

Accept your comments Pippa and thanks for the update. The news broke into public domain on the 10th, 4 days ago. Unsurprisingly rumours have circulated ever since, with supporters waiting for the club to make some sort of announcement. Shame there was a need for official notification from the club to be delayed but if caused by due process I guess c'est la vie.

I expect Tony's gone because the style of play set by the Manager which is the team scoring no goals is not his wish!

I am not one to make comments on this platform but I feel very strongly about the circumstances surrounding Tony Lee. I am not close to any members of the supporters or board so I make these comments from looking from outside. Firstly I must state that I have and will always support Mr. Reeves and Pippa for all their support to the club - well done to both of you. However I feel problems have arisen from other "new" members of the board. I find it surprising that the new members are quick to comment on the main web page about new signings of manager and players. However when it comes to comment about leaving players say Tony, it is left to the stalwarts of the committee to make comments. Some of you suggest that things are not being said. I feel the same and refresh our minds of circumstances last season when Tony was suspended and temporarily left the club. Nothing was clarified at the time and all of us was wondering what happened. Prior to this event if I remember correctly Tony was well involved with the management of the club being involved with the youth sides. These additional duties that Tony undertook is being recognised by the Captain recent program notes.
We have already experienced early this year the lost of a respected manager together with senior players leaving. All these indicate to me that there must be an underlying problem with the club's management/ board team and until this is sorted I expect further disruptions will occur.
I apologize in speaking so freely and in view of my lack of knowledge of the club and its management no doubt someone will put me right. Maybe one of the "old" Management members will break ranks to put my comments in text of what is going on with our club. My only comment is that I feel the problem could be due to money. The comment that money counts for everything could be the route of the club's problem.
