I'm sorry but i think we've gone 4 teams below us have at least 1 game in hand and we don't look like scoring let alone picking up a point, this season has turned into a shambles. I know some people won't like that but we've turned into a poor sorry looking team.

Folks I am now really worried. Apart from the bottom two, Our form is worse than the others below us. We may now be looking at a complete rebuild in Division One

I think the Squad has some very good players in it but there is a lot dead wood as well. Players just not up to the required standard or way past their best. The Club will do well to avoid relegation this season.

…. And some of those players being given contracts for next season.
Don’t forget that as well as being one of our worst squads for years, it’s also one of our most expensive. In Rossiters own words he’s raised the budget from around £12,000 a month to almost £20,000. Players paid very very well and nowhere near good enough. What a mess!

Sadly I have to agree with all above comments.
I have said to my son for a while now I thought we would get relegated - which seemed very negative 10 games ago.
Whether we stay up or get relegated I am sure there is going to be a big shake out at the end of the season - and needs to be. Some players that were really good last season have looked mediocre this season.
Controversial statement - I think I want us to get relegated! Would rather be a league lower and winning than a league higher and losing. But I know many will not agree with me on that. I appreciate still no guarantees we will win even if league lower.
I also hope we change our style of play next season - as has not even been enjoyable to watch even for the neutral since Salisbury.

We are on our way to league One! And if you believe that I have a rather large bridge over to Turlin Moor to sell you! Btw did Poole Borough get the riding mower back?

Not for me. There's definitely enough quality, experience, commitment & drive in this squad to keep us up. We've still got some very winnable home games & but for a good bounce & a little luck (how did Jamie Whisken's header not cross the line?!), we'd have comfortably come away with something today. Keep the faith & get behind the lads. COYD!

Poor last 15 games (I was at gosport and it helped massively them going down to 10 men early) defence very soft, no creativeness or muscle in midfield and not much up top toby only one who look likely to score not that he gets much service. Would love to be proven wrong but I'm also a realist we're in deep trouble.

I think we all know where it's gone.....20 odd miles west to a board of directors who recognised and wanted what we had. What makes it worse is that the man that pushed them there, is still with us and seems to be oblivious to the damage he has, and is still, causing to our club. Surely it is better to struggle on without his cash, than to sit back and endure watching him destroy the club that Chris Reeves, T.K. and others, struggled, resolutely, for many seasons, to build into the great, friendly club it was until the end of last season. R.I.P. the real Poole Town F.C.

I watched Dorchester v Tiverton yesterday. Jack Dickson was sent off after 3 minutes for lashing out. Yet, Dorchester still manged to win the game. There seems to be a togetherness and team spirit there which is sadly lacking at PTFC. We have a very leaky defence, light weight midfield and no teeth up front. Are we going to get relegated? After yesterday's defeat, alarm bells are ringing....very loudly. The games against Plymouth and Didcot are now vital. Defeat there will mean curtains. Before the season started, we were all so optimistic.......nobody saw this coming. Events off the pitch have now derailed performances on it. 4 points from 15 games is off the scale. What ever happens, the club needs some rational and clear decisions the minute this woeful season ends.

Many of the things on here are a true reflection the situation. However, had it not been for the majors shareholders putting up the money to keep the club going during the run of cancellations, we would not have a club now.
The target is clear, two wins should keep us up and we have to watch every result from the clubs around us. This starts tonight with Beaconsfield v Hanwell. I will be watching Twitter hoping that Beaconsfield win. It is horrible hoping for someone else to lose but the same situation often happens when chasing promotion.
One win would really set us up for the run in, lets hope it is against Merthyr on Saturday. I would hate to be relegated, looking up at Wimborne and Dorchester next year, but I can see Peter Leppington's reasoning. However with a good overhaul of the squad and a full pre-season behind him, ST will be able to show his pedigree. Dropping down a division would reduce the quality of players that would come to Tatnam.
We can only hope that the training sessions this week will see ST stamp his authority on the team. However it needs luck and a few results to go our way. It was telling that TK negotiated Will, Luke and JD leaving the club. It does say a lot about who was not taken. No one ever thought TK was a fool and that proved it. Maybe the loss of players was the big problem, not the loss of Tommy.
Football Web Pages, www.footballwebpages.co.uk/southern-football-league-premier-south-division/league-table/predicted has a predicted final table and it is not good reading. They predict that we will only get 2 points from our final games and form says they are correct. It is almost a shame that most of the games are at home as Tatnam has not been a fortress since the 2016/17 season. The rose coloured specs are in their case and will stay there for the time being but there will be lets get behind the boys and give ST a chance to compete next season on his terms. I am not a religious man but you may see me putting my hands together and looking upwards hopefully.

At home we went from Monday 29th August 2022 to Monday 28th August 2023 unbeaten in the league at Tatnam. Only losing once in the FA Cup in that time. So I suggest it Fortress Tatnam existed then. Which is more recent than the 2015-16. We now have 5 games to try & get it back in order to end our current relegation concerns & use it to catapult into next season, we hopefully we will be challenging at the right end of the table. We need to get back to the mentality is winning is what is expected & if we can win well that is the bonus.

The result at Beaconsfield went out way tonight. That was forecast to be a draw so Hanwell says a point behind us.
