Nice one dom! Thanks. Wish I'd been there but I got it wrong and came down for the Alton home game a bit later on -but who'd have thought we'd have it sewn up with five ganes to go?! My first home game was Poole v Street in the old Western League at The Stadium circa 1951. What about anyone elses?

HAPPY BACK TO BACK NEW YEAR !!
Brian , i was not far behind you, I think Jimmy Ithell was the PTFC manager as I stood behind the old air raid tops that were the speedway fence in those days. PTFC were one of the 1st non league teams to have floodlights and there were a series of friendlies against bigger name teams. ..........and now we can sit in front of our computers and watch history(thank you to the fan that posted the VTFC/Poole video) I saw an interesting name on one posting...Benssouada never saw him play but obviously knows where the goal is.. To all PTFC Fans!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
BACK TO BACK!!
SOUTHERN PRIDE AT WHITLEY BAY!!
...and keep up that PRESSSURE on and off the field
UP THE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!!

Preseason Friendly v AFCB July 2008. Was not hooked, but did follow the results afterwards until Merthyr Tydfil tempted me back. Was hooked that time. Goals from Gilly and two from a young lad called Charlie.

august 1965 v Bridport Prelim Rd FA Cup won 3-2 winner from a certain Arnold Eckersall-one of the other goals came from the much more familiar name of the legend that is Tony France-how could I not be hooked!!!

If you exclude me sneaking in to the second half of a game at home to Chelmsford the season before, my first game was Poole Town 2 Bath City 2 in the FA Cup 4QR in the late 80s. Appalling weather, but enough excitement to lure me away from watching league football in and around London most weekends. Sadly we lost the replay, missing out on a tie at Fulham, as I recall.

Sadly I can't remember the exact game, was getting married and doing the house up (for the first time!!)but it would've been sometime early in 2004.
