The news that the planning application for Bearwood has been delayed yet again was a real shock this week and has rekindled the anger and resentment that many feel toward the council.
It is you right to let your councillor know your feelings, and contact details are on the council website. I am furious about the whole issue but to thrash about wildly now may not be the best thing to do.
A polite email would be a good idea to let councilors know of your feelings first thing on a Monday morning.
As this all became known at the weekend, no one has had a chance to question the council as to the reasons for the delay. So before we all start individual campaigns, lets wait to hear what the BoD can find out.
Then, as our chum UNIT from Hayes and Yeading would say "At My Signal, Unleash Hell"

Im not up with all the ins and outs of this John, but you do seem to have squatted well up so i bow to your greater knowledge.
But what i dont get is,how does this effect promotion?
When we win this league for the 3rd time as im sure we will,we have to prove we have the correct ground grading, which im sure something is in place temporarly, but what if the council keep putting dealing with Bearwood off?
And say come June they decide NOT to allow us to build the stadium at Bearwood?
Where does that leave us?
And can they KEEP putting off dealing with this issue,is there a time limit on when it has to be dealt with?

And can they KEEP putting off dealing with this issue,is there a time limit on when it has to be dealt with? Poolelaglandstreet, Firstly let me say that I believe that we will get promoted this year. The two reasons are that I think we will win the league again and also the words highlighted at the end of this post. All my info comes from either the FA Website or the Council, I don't have any inside knowledge, just what I read when my wife reads her gory crime novels. Clearly there is and was some confusion at the ground yesterday. I did answer a lot of Brian's questions on another thread you can see this here www.samspud.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=4527&page=2We do not need BEARWOOD for promotion this year. We need any ground that meets the FA Grade E standard. Currently Tatnam is Graded F that is why we have been refused promotion. There has to be a suitable ground (Grade E or better) for playing at next season ready, inspected and graded by the 31st March (and we have to win the league) if we are to achieve the promotion. This has nothing to do with Bearwood. Bearwood is a process where we know the process has started but have no idea when it will end. It cannot be completed before the end of next season. However any delays now will lead to a later completion date. If you remember, by this time last year, we already new that we would not be going up owing to the ground issue. This year we have heard little since the "thinking out of the box" proposal. It was clear that this was Bournemouth Athletic Stadium in Kings Park, Bournemouth as several Athletics officials wrote to the OHEC with their concerns. There is a lot going on at the moment and this may be why little has been heard. However on another thread DorsetYellow said "Let me allay the major concern. This should not impact on our attempt to gain promotion. There is a very cunning plan in hand which will please all. Can't go public for another week." That is well inside the March 31st Deadline and makes me think that either a groundshare or the "Out of the Box" plan has been approved by the FA.

I have a reply to my E-Mail to a couple of Councillors asking what was the Council playing at. The reply was that they thought it was all going though!! So some senior councillors say they no nothing about it? Now which Party has come out in support of us........... Also, we have to trust the BOD to do their job, unfortunately they only have 24 hours a day to do everything.

I was both surprised and pleased to hear from Councillor on the planning committee late on Sunday evening. The email confirmed our questions had already been raised officially by the Club and that the officials involved had been asked to explain the delay. I would also concur with Sterteroad that councillors were not aware of the situation. As a result of this email, I will now wait for further information from the club as it is clear that any updates will be given to the Club, through their agents, first. So Brian and others, keep hell on a leash for the time being.

John-your e-mails have been spot on and appropriately phrased-thank you.
the club continues to press the Chief Executive and the Leader of the Council on these issues hopefully again in an appropriate manner-we need to make our point but at the same time not alienate those whose support ultimately we need.
We are also in close touch with the media.
we also have access to good quality advice from our professionals(and I don't mean me!)
