Presuming the people that count allow this to go ahead - when would the first game be planed in the new stadia ?
I heard roumers of a quick turn around at the rec for plan A... but will "plan B" be slower or quicker to put into place ??
As would be a shame if you guys missed out on another promotion - presuming you make it again this season....

Expat, after our recent experiences, I will not put any faith in any of our Councillors. We just have to get behind the BOD and help them wherever they need it. Better to wait and have what we want than to rush this and end up in a mess.

Wise words sterte but some of us (especially older fans and those who have experienced the dark ages) are in a bit of a hurry. Not to over-reach but at least to get up a couple of levels to Southern Prem. say. We need something in place or something on the way and a ground share to make a start. Don't forget Level 5 is the hardest to get out of - no play offs!!

;D ;D ;D could not agree more Brian If we do indeed go BACK TO BACK it would be pretty tough on everyone to have to pass up promotion again!!

Brian ordinarily I would agree with you, but Poole Town is too big a club to be stuck at this level, with no disrespect if we were one of those clubs who struggle to make three figure gates it would be a hard ask.
I can understand yours and other supporters' cynicism and lack of patience after what has happened in the past and I personally feel the Club's communication to the supporters regarding CA is an important aspect of keeping the supporters keen and buoyant. Something the club has always excelled at in the past, with reference to BR.

I think it's time to get more familiar with a great opportunity for the Dolphins. Thats CA of course............. ;D It would be good to take a few photo's of the proposed site and some of the exciting, existing facilities. Give us a sense of ownership. Afterall that was the catalyst of that amazing effort the club put into the not so attractive BR project. We've got to make this work............can't see anything better at the moment.

i have just read in todays program about possible groundshare with new milton so we can go up to the next level,at this present time i do not think it would be wise because we would not get the crowds we get at tatnam farm and for that reason i think we should stay in wessex league untill we know about canford arena

I wrote those programme notes, in hindsight, prematurely. Unfortunatley New Mlton Town Council have subsequently declined the proposal and a groundshare at New Milton is no longer on the cards. As a result the planned fliers canvassing opinions were not handed out.
We will inform the supporters again, when there is further news.

Impression I got today is that our crowds would be down there though.

The ground belongs to the Council, not NMT. They have the right to say who plays there....and who doesn't.
That is as much as I can say. Obviously already too much!

I noticed in today's programme, Mr Reeves was asking for supporter feedback on taking promotion, if we had earned the right at the end of the season.
I have posted on this before & it is just my opinion. The ultimate aim should be to progress if possible but it should be when all the infrastructure is in place & the club has financial guarantees & regular revenue sources to maintain football at a higher level. The cost of away travel would be an issue in itself & then you require a squad of players who are able to make themselves available for that away game to Bishop's Cleeve in the middle of January. I believe this would be a problem for most Wessex teams looking to go up, some more than others maybe. If The Southern League Southern division had a larger proportion of teams from Dorset/Hampshire area, maybe it would not such an issue.
Regarding a possible groundshare, I believe this should only be considered if a new ground has been definitely agreed/in the process of construction. Looking through old programmes since when we started 'groundsharing' off the Blandford Road, the one constant there has been in the programme notes is of planned meetings with the council to discuss a new home/ground for PTFC. 15 years or so later, we are still in the same position. After the years PTFC were a 'nomadic' team, Tatnam has become a home (it is a pity we are unable to develop there). If we were to remain in the Wessex (& they do not change their criteria on ground grading) moving away would surely be a fruitless exercise (we are getting a larger average gate now than we were 15 years ago!). Until a solid foundation is in place, we should not let our hearts rule our heads.
We have all seen the media coverage of late regarding the financial state of some football clubs, from Premier League down to non-league level but over the years we have all seen many cases, especially at non league, where clubs gain some success, rise up a level or two followed by the financing running out or clubs just not able to raise the additional funding required & an equally rapid decline, sometimes to oblivion. The last thing I would want is to see PTFC in such a situation.

;D ;D ;D The question is, do we want to achieve or merely survive?? To have to deny promotion once was difficult but to the fans, once explained ,understandable To deny ourselves promotion a second time would be a severe morale shaker all round Do you beleive that those extra fans that we have attracted are there to see us play Blackfield and Langley yet again next year?? Promotion will create its own impetus and I beleive will prove to be a catalyst to a lot more material and financial progress, even more so, if like other WL teams we prove to be a major factor in the higher league which we will. As a poster rightly stated on here a few weeks ago how can we be assured of winning promotion when it suits us, there are other ambitious teams who will willingly take our place...for instance if we pass up promotion for Wimborne to get it could we show our faces north of the Stour Lets keep the dream alive and GO FOR IT BACK TO BACK LEAGUE AND CUP DOUBLE .............AND PROMOTION!!
UP THE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!!
