Excellent news, as well as giving us somewhere warm to sit and watch the game during the winter it will make things look more professional too, dont get me wrong the ground looks great as it is now, but if you ask me a stand will make it look better. I'm guessing grandstand seats will be more expensive too, so some more revenue for the club surely. All good news.

would people please stop referring to easy games and easy points...so far the last three EASY games have netted four points and 4GF and 7GA. We all want the team to do well and a team that is aiming for the top five or six in Wessex one. Good results and good football will help fill the Stand. If the present team is unable to fulfill that goal then Mgt will have to make the changes necessary. We do not want to lose the momentum that has built up over the past couple of seasons. Anybody out there with some constructive thoughts (BENITO where are you!!) UP THE TOWN

Chris in reply. how about putting taf in place of Danny in defense put Dan in mid field with Gaza put Carl up front so they can play him low sliding pases for him to run onto as he is to short for the high ball.

Hi Chris, in reply you ask for constructive thoughts well hear goes. At the start of the season I personally would have settled for mid table, reserves holding their own, a new grandstand and a little drinking hole for afterwards, looks like three out of four (not bad!) As for the playing side how about this IN- Danny Woods, Andy Culliford and a proven Wessex keeper. Also what about trying big Crispen Rigler up front. I know this would cost extra to the player budget but surely we could gently release 'one or two' to compensate. Also when the grandstand is opened in Nov why not charge an extra £1 to sit in it and the extra income could go to the playing budget. After all it was £6 at Lymington & NM and Winchester. These are my personal thoughts. About time we heard from the legend that is Doug.

opposite the ground there is a industrial estate with small units to rent what would be the prospect of us being able to obtain one and use it for a club house we could put a lockable gate at the far end of the ground pro haps this would get over the fact that were on school grounds

do you think that we should a( THINK TANK SECTION ) on our web site so as to pool ideas and resources IE if we need equipment, ways of making money for the club, or saving money, contact for sponsorship etc, a contact section for players who would like to play for us with a secure section .

in reply to Benito's posting, Chris Rigler has returned to Ham Rec, he felt he wasn't given the chance to prove himself.
