Wahey!!, Looks like the announcement has been made on the front page. How do you all feel about it ? I must say it's a great sign of the club and council moving forward together in what can only be described as a major step forward in the history of Poole Town FC. On a personal level I was born only a stones throw, opposite the Gas works in Yarmouth Road before moving away from the area two years later. So you could say if it comes off it's a bit like a coincidental, spiritual home coming ;D

WONDERFUL! The layout looks great and the intention to improve things for everyone as well as PTFC is very progressive.
I was born in Herbert Avenue overlooking Branksome Rec. and later I lived in Douglas Rd and later still in Alder Road. I've played as a kid and played football n the rec.
Homecoming neutral1, more like resurrection for me!!!

Really good news for everyone and a great leaflet. It will be good for the residents there to know that the presence of PTFC will benefit sport and community groups and upgrade the whole area. I'm sure that everyone connected with the club will make the point that we have been excellent neighbours wherever we have gone because the supporters care about the community as well as the club.

Just a quick thank you, to the small team who delivered the leaflets yesterday under the guidance of Steve Harvey we all owe a big thank you to Stella, Tracey, Dave and the merry band of supporters/ players from the girls youth teams for the superb way they approached the task of delivering the 100s of leaflets, indeed within minutes of the leaflets being delivered the phone to Chris Reeves was red hot, with positive comments from the residents of Branksome about the proposal, although we all quite rightly see PTFC 1st team as the focal point of the club, we must not forget the rest off the clubs 31 teams at youth level who particularly do so much for us behind the scenes, as yesterday proves, Stella Tracey a big thank you to you for your continued support!!

:(There's minimal parking there at the mo. The drainage will need to be a sorted too, a slight sniff of rain and it's a quagmire
This is a great idea tbh, plenty of room for expansion, and what could be a very decent clubhouse and bar
And we won't go into what I used to ge up to down there when I was a youngster

The Branksome Rec redevelopment plans come as wellcoming news after many months of wondering about the clubs future. The plans present an excellent opportunity not only for Poole Town FC, but also to the Rec and surrounding area.
Hopefully it will intice new supporters from the local Alder Hills area, to see what I condider to be the best football action in the South - certainly the most entertaining team. But its 'swings & roundabouts', we may lose a few supporters who can't travel far from Tatnam!
In a way, its a pity the club is moving further away from the 'TOWN' centre, but 'hey' its less distance for me to travel - so I'll be happy.
However, I agree with stcinbmth, regarding the drainage. I hope this has been factored into the proposals, as I've often seen the Rec virually under water.
But more immediate issues are at hand. Lets cheer tha lads on as they hammer Wimborne on Saturday (0-2).
