Wimborne Road stadium was built in 1960 - the year I was born.
I've lost count of the number of times I've been there, watching the Pirates speedway team, including the year they won all four domestic titles. I used to take my son with me, and he's never seen the Pirates lose at "Fortress Wimborne Road".
What I wouldn't give to see the Dolphins return there.
