Mike, I cannot speak for the Board but as I understand it, there is a shortfall in funding at the moment.
This is partly caused by the costs of upgrading Tatnam over the last 2 seasons and partly by grants being reduced.
We are not desperate for Bearwood at the moment as Tatnam can be brought up to a C grade without too much trouble.
We are lucky that our BoD is sensible and will only go forward when we have the money.

And what about planning permission is the expiry date far enough to accomodate this " Gap year"? Is Bearwood dead? Can we expect a statement from the BOD shortly, there's a lot of fund raising been done and a lot still being done. Personally, I'm thrilled that Tatnam appears to have a reprieve. There's something magical about that ground, always makes me feel better anyway. COYD. COYT.

Two threads going here Slepe. I guess we will get some answers at the Supporters Club AGM.

slepe's questions are very important. Planning permission does have a time limit and I suspect that work has to start within the specified period (six months???) or planning permission lapses.
No doubt the BOD know all this and your view of its sound sense is one that I'm sure is shared by all PTFC fans John.

I would like to re-open the Bearwood discussion, John suggested there maybe some announcements at the recent supporters club AGM. Since I wasn't there could someone inform me if indeed there was. Clearly there is some changes in the funding that affect the schedule.

There was. They are not for discussion on a public open forum. Seek out anyone present at your next game and they will fill you in.

On a general note Planning Permission is valid for 3 years and will lapse if work has not commenced by then.
However it is possible to apply for an extension. As far I know some work has already been done.
Re Grade C, we would need that by March 31st in the year we go up. In other words when we win the league this year we will need grade C by March 2014 (in TK we trust).
If promoted to the Conference South, we would need a Grade B by March 2015 at the earliest.
It is unlikely the Tatnam could meet Grade B unless Chris Reeves were Elected Mayor.
I should finish by saying that I could not make the AGM do I don't know what was said. .

I like the idea of Mayor Reeves, doubt if he has the time but he would be a great man to do it!
