U18's Result from this Morning

Newport County 0 Poole Town 2

The youth team visited Newport County this morning and came away with all three points
after a hard fought game.
Both teams started brightly but chances were few and far between with both defences on top.
The breakthrough came five minutes before the break,a ball played into the box was controlled
by Kieron Parrett who managed to spin his marker and was pulled down in the process for a
penalty which was smashed home by Morgan Turner.
After the break Poole began to take control and twenty minutes in a ball from Sam White was
chased down by Morgan who then beat the full back drove into the box and squared the ball
back for Kieron Parrett to side foot passed the keeper from eight yards.
For the remainder of the game the hosts pressurised the Poole defence but the boys held firm
to claim the spoils.
A special mention for Todd Coombs who put in a sterling performance after a bout of sickness
While travelling to the game.
