Thanks a lot ballboy. Fascinating stuff. You still get a pint in the Tatnam and buy a book from Lookers in the High Street in those days. My auntie Kit bought me a book for my 10th (or thereabouts) birthday there but wouldn't let me have my choice of a western called "The Noose Hangs High"! I saw Stan Rickaby once in Poole Park. He was sitting on a bench alone and looking rather forlorn I thought. I was just a boy and didn't dare approach him. IN those days we cold afford a reserve team. Is that John Kirk in goal? A great 'keeper'!

I remember waiting in a queue outside of Lookers on a Saturday evening for the Football Echo to be delivered, Yes John Kirk in goal as you say Heyshamdolphin, a great keeper.
