I notice Poole town ladies will be playing home games at milborne st andrew this coming season. Seeing that the ladies have done so well and reached the southern premier league I think it's wrong that the women can't play at tatnam. The level the ladies will be playing at next season is the equivalent of league 2 in the football league in the men's game. This news of playing venue coming just a week after non league club Lewes revealed plans to have equality at their club from playing venue to training facilities and even equal pay for players. Lewes will be playing just 1 division higher than Poole town ladies and whilst their club does equality Poole town is happy to see the women playing in a village 16 miles outside of Poole and which makes attending matches to support the ladies for those who can't drive near on impossible

Have had disagreements with you in the past SD, but on this issue I have to agree it seems somewhat odd for them to be so far out of town, with limited public transport. Milborne St Andrew is only a ten minute drive from where I live in Blandford, the set up there (pitch and changing rooms, etc) is very good though. Saying that however, it isn't that unusual as Yeovil Ladies play at Sherborne Town, or at least they did up until recently, not sure if they still do.

I think we would all like to see the ladies play at Tatnam, as we would all Wyvern matches but the problem is come the winter and if there are problems with the pitch due to over use it can cost us much needed revenue. To have a Saturday game move to a Tuesday night is a killer financially for us, and ultimately money talks....

The facilities at Milborne are excellent and the ladies decided to play there, as Lisa said running u21s and u18s this year pitch over usage would become a real issue! SD sometimes you need to get all the facts first!!in an ideal world of course we would all prefer the ladies to play games at Black Gold but it really is not that simple as your post suggests.
