Bitterly disappointed but not surprised by this news after the way the club has handled the departure of T.K. Whether you agree with his methods or team selections, he built the team and in the main they were solidly behind him. Sorry it ended this way Will, you will be a huge loss to the club and I fear you will not be the only current Poole Town stalwart, player, official, or supporter who decides it's time to go. All the best for the future.

The Club is in a complete shambles no thoughts of what was the consequents will be of sacking the loyal Manager in a disgraceful way. Not just the players leaving, but fans, backroom staff, it is very upsetting. I think the saying is that 'you have shot yourselves in the foot!' I have never before seen such a negative response on the recent actions of the Board from the paying supporters. I am very disappointed.

What an excellent servant Will has been to the club, never failing to give anything less than 100%. It's a pity that the faithful 3/400 who have supported the club throughout his playing career won't be able to give him the send-off that he deserves. Cheerio and good luck.

Sad to see Will Spetch leave. Great club servant consistent, dependable and first rate player, the glue of the team.

I’m a very proud Dad. Sadly I won’t be able to see you get to 500 games, but I have followed you in Poole Town colours from the Youth to your last game last week as Captain of a terrific team, in front the best fans in the league & for a manager who you respect immensely. Well done son.

Well said Nick. Will has been an example to non league players everywhere - both for his loyalty and his accomplishments in our X beautiful game.

For the all players leaving good luck in the future! I struggle to remember a time when Will Spetch wasn't in the Poole team, so its sad to see it end in this manner.
It probably would have been sensible to make any changes during a summer break and facilitate a more respectful transition but here's hoping it ends up working in the long run for all involved.

Next please 'We wish them the very best in the future and thank them for all they have done in our colours.'
It is a very very sad day and the Boards statement does not help.

Remember Will playing in reserves (with Marv). Great to see his progression and loyalty to Poole. Sad to now see him leave. All the best Will.

I don’t think some of the Boards statement was necessary. What do they want at this moment, sympathy for the stress, medals for the sacrifice?
This isn’t the time for them to bleat on about how tough it is at the top. They made a big decision, tightly or wrongly, and clearly only time will tell if it’s a thought right call, or someone wanting their own man

Well done son. You should be proud Nick, those of us that have been around the block know that Will was destined for higher things before his injury during his time at Sutton. He has been ever present as a Poole Town Player and always more than held his own in the centre of defence even when partnered with more experienced No 5s. I only wishe we could have cloned Will as Will at 4 and Bill Spetch at 5 would have been immense. Sadly the defence have been lacking of late but Will was always there, never let us down and he often covered for colleagues that were out of position. In fact he often took one for the team, taking yellows cards, covering for the mistakes or inadequacies of others. Will you be be missed but not forgotten.

I was gutted when I learnt of the departures but with my sensible head on, it was inevitable with a new broom. Nobody likes change including me but there is no going back unless one of us wins the lottery and buys the club. We have to accept that the turmoil will have an effect on the field for the foreseeable future and must be patient.

Yet another sad day for PTFC! I wonder if more will follow?... I wonder if the vastly improved player Will Fletcher has a recall clause in his loan deal at HUFC? Might well be needed?

was MOORE&DIXON were on contract. does it make any difference, if you don't wanna play for them Probably not but by walking out while contracted could prevent them for playing for anyone else until that contract ends. Fortunately for them it would appear the Club have mutually agreed to allow them to go.

good to see John Anderson back in the Dolphin Pool!!@
Can i remind everyone of the criticism published on here a few weeks ago regarding how "stretched" our defence is/was against long balls over the middle. Is anyone denying that our defence is ageing? 8 plus seasons of NL slog obviously start to take their toll; maybe we picked the wrong time to change the guard but change was inevitable Looking at the CV of the incoming coaching staff we are going to see an uptick in youth, speed and fitness tempered we hope by some steady guiding hand in midfield
Come On You New Era Dolphins!!

Luke Cairney has also now left. Has that been confirmed anywhere officially? That would be the worst one of the lot, the most important position on the pitch and no offence to Will Butler, but he is not a patch on Luke.

Is it just me or is anyone else disappointed by the reaction of some of the players? I totally understand the loyalty towards the ex manager but what are they trying to prove by walking out and not even giving the new guy a chance, the only people that are going to suffer are the supporters.
Also I read of the lack of loyalty that the club have supposedly shown to Tommy, but how many clubs would have been loyal enough to keep a manager in place for 20 years in the first place.
I do also find it sad that people are writing off the new guy Tubbs before he’s even started, it’s ill advised to say that he’s inexperienced and unqualified for the job, he’s had a pro career, is UEFA A qualified and has been managing in the division below, all far more than Tommy when he was appointed manager, and he didn’t do too badly did he?

Forgot to add….. it can still be a family club, it’s the club ethos that counts and not just who the manager is, I enjoyed watching Poole before Tommy was manager, Peter Moore, Brian O Donnell, Paul Morrell, the supporters were still the same lovely bunch that they are now. We support the club and the team whoever is in charge don’t we?

Come on people get a grip Firstly I would like to thank Mr Killick for his loyal service over many years at PTFC.
Not being privy to the "SHODDY" way things have handled I cant comment, sorry but its another football manager being relieved of his duties, not the first and sure as hell not the last. PTFC is still here.
Of the departing personnel JD was the one player I would like to have stayed they've made their decisions so good luck
I agree with Rob B will should never have left
