As I have said before we must learn from the mistakes of the b/wreck saga
we cannot go public at every step of the way but just be reassured there is currently a lot happening
patience and determination and commitment and all associated qualities will need to be maintained
I would hope that within a couple of months there will be some very public developments that we will be able to share in depth with you all

Chris - I'm not sure that you (we) made any mistakes, it was just that the politicians let us down.
Steve - I'd like that very much, it would bring back many fond memories for me. The 18th looks good. I'll speak to the MD and confirm.
slepe - you're right about the 'Raybans' but will I really need an umbrella?

There is a Board Meeting this week and we may discuss this point. Hopefully a decision can be made and announced for the end of the week. To my knowledge there have been no comings or goings so far. There has however been activity and progress with regard to our future home.

Tried to PM you Steve - without success. All being well the MD and me will be at the speedway on Wed 18th August. In the olden days I thought it was fun to stand on the north bend and get showered with shale but maybe it's better to watch from the straight or even in one of the stands. What do you do?

Parky-see the thread headed Leaflet delivery help needed essential
leaflet drop with volunteers needed for sunday 27th June at 10am
public meeting at Hamworthy Club 7pm on 7th July-with facilities to watch the football afterwards
all being well all the assessments and reports required for the planning application will then be commissioned-the architects will be let off the leash and away we go again
huge amount of time being invested in the scheme
FA and DCFA being kept fully in the loop

Have just seen the location map in todays echo, and sorry playing devils advocate, but the close proximity of houses does worry me a tad. And the traffic for the car boot there is horrendous. I appreciate that we will look into improving the road system , it will need it.

Like parky I too have just seen the location map in the echo. Do you have any detailed plans to share - like you did with the Branksome saga... ?

Parky-the situation of the site vis-a-vis housing should really not be an issue in this case-it is light years different to the wreck.
In any event the land slopes away from Bearwood and the intention is to excavate and build the ground in the "hole" akin to the Eden Project arrangement
the traffic problems caused by the car boot sale is an ace in our hand-the car boot sales will be no more and our traffic will just be nothing like the same--any substantial gates over and above the norm will be catered for by overspill car parking in the Arena
there are existing traffic lights in place--we are unlikely to find a less contentious spot from these points of view
no detailed plans yet--we don't want to start spending big again until we get past this consultation stage

My fingers are crossed. Lets hope the Bournemouth Echo gives us a fair hearing after their somewhat dubious behaviour previously.....

One concern or major concern I have come across from individuals is about the car boot itself, do the BOD plan to continue the very popular car boots say in the 'new' football ground car park on days when there are no matches obviously when the football ground is finished bearing in mind this is potential big revenue for the club!!
