Should we make it to the Conference we will playing quite a number of teams that have played in the Football League and that have good grounds. If we don't get the big picture we are going to be at Tatnam for a long, long time. I note that west Ham are having a pretty good season and will be moving to the converted Olympic Stadium. do you think those highly paid professionals will be able to blame a 'different' pitch for a bad performance We will never get The Stadium to ourselves, does it make sense to operate a facility like that for two days a week(max) for one sport, given the lack of facilities in Poole. Technology and compromise will eventually result in a far different Stadium and ,hopefully, we can live alongside The Pirates as we did for many years in the past No, because the Olympic Stadium is almost completely irrelevant and will be tailored to West Ham's needs. Their pitch dimensions will be exactly the same, so they can't blame it for a bad performance. All I'm saying is that longer, wider pitches suit us better, and that's what the pitch at Tatnam is. Why do you think we are unbeaten at home in the league? Whilst the fans at Tatnam are fantastic and create an atmosphere, Home advantage at this level stems from knowing how much space you have, and that's how we play. We exploit the wide areas, and Tatnam is tailored for this.

If my calculations are correct, (I may be wrong) taking into account that the 18 yard box is 44 yards wide, (18+8+18) that means there would be 3 yards each side of the box - hardly any space to do anything.

Yes, that's the piece of Poole that would seem to fit our purposes land wise. Has a decision been made by those on the board that it isn't suitable or has it never been considered?

Football Conference to allow 3 3G pitches get go ahead for 2015/16 season for Football Conference!! Two days without a post; everyone gone to Sandbanks or Rockley?? Notice how those awful 3G pitches seem to be suiting our Lionesses? 54,000 for Ladies World cup quarter final. Incredible! Lets get that New Stadium to the drawing board(CAD??). It will be a great asset to the Football Club and the Town of Poole..and create many jobs in the process.

Ah yes, the lovely 3G Pitches all of the Woman team's were complaining about and saying how'd they all prefer to play on grass.

Well said, Dubchek.especially when Poole population(and wealth) exceeds that of the other two clubs put together, however unless we have a good cup run or make it into the Conference we will continue to NOT get the attention we deserve. As to the 3G issue football/soccer,call it what you will, the game continues to evolve. The injury level does not exceed that of a grass field and the field is ready for use again almost immediately, tell that to an accountant!! Who would have thought that a Womens World Cup would draw well over 1 million spectators who don't give the proverbial about the make up of the pitch. If PTFC end up with a dedicated football only Stadium I will be very surprised

The master plan looks pretty amateur to me I don't think any of that will ever actually happen. Looks like somebody knocked that up in a Sunday afternoon. Nothing to worry about.

Daniel this is really a consultation document, sort of pre planning stage. What it says to me is that the landowner now has the old new stadium site in these plans and Bearwood is out of the picture for us. It will be difficult for them to get it through planning but the lack of land and housing in Poole means it will probably, eventually, get through.

Dorchester I believe got their ground in a deal involving Tescos getting permission to build their store. Could Poole Town FC get a new stadium in a similar deal? I don't know who owns all the land up around Bearwood and Canford Magna, but if all those houses did get built then a serious amount of money will be made by the landowner and that is a bargaining tool that Poole Council could use in Poole Town FC's favour. Could the land for the stadium and its construction be given in return for the planning permission? Those sorts of deals happen a lot now as developers are expected to contribute to the community such as schools, sports, parks, nature.

Read today's BBC Sport story.
AFC Wimbledon to return to Plough Lane after years on the road; deal approved by London's Mayor!
Where there is a political will, a way will be found.
Mr Mitchell,Cllr Eades, Poole Borough Council et al; this is a case study for you
Keep "The Town" in Poole

Further story on the beeb;August 23rd "London's last remaining dog track to close as AFC Wimbledon prepare for return to Plough Lane" Branksome Rec. Bearwood.Yarrow Rd,The County Ground etc etc etc The real prize is a lot closer to Tatnam than any of these pie in the sky proposals ..and kudos to AFC Wimbledon, their fans, and yes supporting politicians for getting the right thing done.

well, I guess Bearwood has finally been struck from the Wanderers "could be" list (remember the talk of buses streaming up Ringwood Rd on a Saturday?) 700 New Homes going in there. One Echo correspondent mentions the "run down Greyhound Stadium" as a site for even more housing Are any Dolphins supporters playing truant today and sneaking up to "The New Cuthbury".The WTFC site states they had over 600 there for a friendly against Weymouth! Be good to hear unbiased opinions on this new facility. ...and as always.....
NEVER SAY NEVER!!
